Overview

Vanessa Leishman, the Principal of Leishman Legal has been practising law since 1994.

Vanessa has dual qualifications in both New Zealand and Australia and practises primarily in family law in both jurisdictions. Vanessa has extensive experience across the wide range of matters which occur in family law. She represents a diverse range of clients and is an experienced advocate in Court.

Due to Vanessa’s experience in both the New Zealand and Australian jurisdictions, she has developed particular expertise in family law matters that involve Trans-Tasman legal issues and can provide advice in complex property matters and parenting matters where these issues arise.

Mark Leishman, Special Counsel in the Australian office has extensive experience in dealing with people in crisis and is able to assist clients with developing legal, commercial and practical strategies to address their family law and estate issues.

Mark’s forensic and law enforcement background means he is able to assist clients to unravel complex commercial and financial arrangements which often occur in family situations and can provide advice on how to effectively resolve division of their asset pools.
